Thread: Proactiv Acne Solution and Rodan + Fields

XPosted from a thread that I started on another forum that I was on, but left. Basically, it wasn't for me and etc.

Do you believe that Proactiv Acne Solution is dangerous in anyway/s or what? That also goes the inventors of it, Katie Rodan, MD and Kathy Fields, MD other line/s as well. Which I believe is total separate from Proactiv, but it could combine now.

Knew someone whom tried and had wonderful results with it. Unsure if it still uses or what because haven't seen or spoken it in some time. Have also tried it myself, but had horrible results with. Now, just something else and which aren't acne solutions. Which works much more then Proactiv and other skincare lines I have tried in the past. Some better success then others.

I use the Rodan and Fields skincare line because it is the only one with Over the Counter Strength medication available. Myself, children and countless others have had extremely great results. I'll never use anything else. I do know that the Drs. are two of the most well respected Drs. in Dermatology. You can Google all day long and not find complaints or problems. ProActiv was sold to Guthey Renker their infomercial company several years ago which does about 850 million sales. It is a totally different entity than the new company Rodan and Fields Dermatologists the dermatology based skincare company. I'm pretty confident they know what they are doing considering the past success with ProActiv. I know the new company is debt free and in 2 yrs has done over 50 million in sales. Basically "if they had paid you to recommend ProActiv where would you be know everytime an infomercial ran? Well, this time with the way the new company is set up I'm finding out. Everything purchase online through a reps or appt. based business website. Coolest thing I've ever done. Instead of a one time bonus for signing a business, it is an ongoing commissionto me everytime they sell R+F products in their business. They also allow businesses to sign other businesses. There is no product or company set up like this one through direct sales at this point of the game especially in PreLaunch Phase. When you meet with President Obama for the jobs your are creating and turned down Oprah because the business was so new it couldn't facilitate the sales at this beginning stage, Id say they are on to something!

this is where I have a problem with untrained MLMers selling health based products to people suffering from serious conditions.

So, which form of "acne' does your product treat, "greatadventure" ??





Do you get the "acne" clinically diagnosed before you prescribe an over-the-counter medication ??

What recourse does the poor desperate acne sufferer have if your product makes an already dreadful condition even worse ??

We're not talking coffee or energy drinks here, we're talking about a sometimes severe and always embarrassing condition.

They tell you that that active ingredient - the only active ingredient - is benzoyl peroxide 2.5%. Benzoyl peroxide formulations are readily available over-the-counter, in 2.5% strength and greater (although it's questionable whether higher concentrations are more effective, and they are more likely to cause allergic reactions).

Walgreen's sells 1 oz of 10% for $5. Proactiv, on the other hand, sells one-third of an oz of 6% (they call it "Advanced Blemish Treatment") for $18 "regular price", or $15 "member price". That, of course, is $54 and $45 per oz, respectively - 9-11 times Walgreen's price - for weaker stuff.

Gotta pay that upline. It's the usual MLM ripoff.

Oops. I'm not sure that Proactiv is an MLM. MLM or not, though, I can't imagine why anyone would pay their prices.
