    Who IS Patrick Pretty??

So who is Patrick Pretty? All kinds of people seem to be pretty infatuated with him, yet all the information there is about him is... well... written by "him" or "her" or "it." I have a copy of a pdf "book" written by him a few years ago, where he adds a little "About Patrick Pretty" at the end; every word appears to be a lie. None of the people he names appear to have ever existed, except, perhaps, in his mind, the association he names does not seem to have ever existed - indeed, at the time that he was supposedly "discovered," again, by an apparently non-existent famous photographer, the grape industry in the US was in the midst of some of the greatest labor unrest in US history.

"Patrick Pretty" claims to be a very honest, law-abiding and morally superior "scam buster," yet he appears, himself, to be a complete fraud and fabrication.

Here is a quote from "him" endorsing a whole gang of some of the most well-known hype artists and gurus on the internet, responsible for fleecing untold fortunes out of the gullible for years...

""If you're an aspiring marketer looking for proven ways to make money online, you naturally wonder what you need to do avoid costly, time-wasting false-starts. My advice now consists of three succinct words:

    "Simply come here.

"The Internet Marketing Inner Circle is exactly what the name implies: a gateway to true insider's knowledge, information that prevents you from kissing frogs and permits you to build momentum out of the gate.

"You'll learn from leaders such as Lynn Terry, Rosiland Gardner, Gina Gaudio-Graves, Rebecca Hagel, Jane Mark, Thea Swafford and other remarkably talented women.

And Willie Crawford, Dr. Mani, Paul Myers, Mike Filsaime, Marlon Sanders, John Hostler and other remarkably talented men will help shape your thinking and keep you on the right track.

"This is a unique opportunity, one that already has made a difference in my marketing life and will continue to do so."

    Patrick Pretty
"The Most Beautiful Little Boy In The World" -- 1964

    http://PluckForever.com""

Found on The Internet Marketing Inner Circle Exclusive Membership Site from a followup to a link on Patrick Pretty - My Secret Identity!

So... what's up with that? Who IS Patrick Pretty? Will we ever know? Do his Realscam "friends" know? Are some of the so-called scam-busters here in collusion with him in some grand scheme that has yet to be exposed? Could it be that the people who have come over here from the site most affectionately known as Scamlandpro are setting up shop here, now, with Patrick Pretty and friends, just waiting to pounce when the moment for the fleecing is right?

Is Patrick Pretty preparing the field for his friends from the Warrior Forum, for people like Willie Crawford and his friends, Andy Henry, Charles Burke, Mike (ugh) Filsaime, Gary Knuckles, Mike Merz, Lynn Terry, Jason Cain, Joe (gotcha) Vitale, Joel Comm, John Glube,John Reese, Marc Goldman, Marty Foley, Phyllis Schwaretz, Rosalind Gardner, Tam Morris, Ted Nicholas, Russell Brunson, Paul Myers, Marlon Sander, Yanik Silver and others in this crowd of "gurus?"

Maybe it's just me, but if I'm going to listen to someone who claims to be a scambuster, I sure don't want it to be a person with a completely made up persona telling me to "trust in me..." just like the snake in "The Jungle Book," right before he tried to make a meal out of the little guy...

    Nice try, chopperone,

the only problem I see with your treastise is you've left out associating Patrick with the Illuminati and devil worshippers

    chopperone,

Are you kidding me? There are many folks that simply volunteer their time to warn and inform the public. Everyone working here is a volunteer and the site doesn't generate a dime for the owner or anyone else.

You are definitely barfing up the wrong tree!

Investigative journalist to boot. It means he investigates things before he publishes them, unlike certain of his critics. Sigh...

    chopperone,

Don't forget to tell the troops that PP also has appeared on hundreds of magazine covers and TV shows, strummed the guitar with Elvis, dined with the Queen (asked if she wanted more bread and created an international incident) and made his debut in Major League Baseball as a 48-year-old rookie -- going five-for-five with two homers and a couple of stolen bases, as I recall.

In other words, PP, unable to see the big zits on his face and his black teeth, is a fantasy brand, "The Most Beautiful Little Boy In The World," a favorite of the tabloids and paparazzi after he rose to fame as a spokesman for grapes. When the brand was brand new, the storytelling helped attract an audience.

Over time, the PP Blog became less interested in "Internet Marketing" and more interested in writing about scams. This was because it had become evident that very few Blogs in "Internet Marketing" were devoted full time to writing about scams. Scams were multiplying -- mushrooming, actually. My analysis of the situation suggests that the scams began to mushroom just about the time the economy was going in the tank.

Funny thing about reporting on scams: It makes you a target of slime attacks such as the one you posted above. Then cyberstalkers such as UF26 go after you, using names such as "Pistol" and "Pistol's Pal."

Then there's the hate mail, occasionally including very menacing language and even death threats. The Blog also has experienced DDoS attacks, for instance.

It's true that I am less public than I used to be. That's because of the DDoS attacks, certain actions of members of a criminal mob and/or "sovereign citizens." They routinely try to put a chill in me. Earlier this month one of them told me I owed a certain individual "sovereign" $300,000 every time I used her name in a story.

There also have been a few instances in which "defenders" of bizarre "programs" actually began to attack certain PP Blog readers. One true sicko applauded the death of my dog, suggesting it was a warning from God and that a family member could be next.

You wouldn't be trying to put a chill in me or RealScam.com, would you, chopperone? It has been tried on this very forum before -- and even taken off the forum and moved other places by an individual who claimed he was inspired to "defend" the 730-percent-a-year JSSTripler/JustPeenPaid program "so help me God."

I've also noticed that various slime-bucketeers have trained their sights on RealScam.com, one of the few forums in the world that concerns itself with the dangers of international mass-marketing fraud. They want to chill the forum and some of its posters, particularly on the subjects of cash-gifting and the BannersBroker and ProfitableSunrise "programs." Some of them try to use UF26 as their authority. His lot in life is to have become a source of inspiration for HYIP hucksters and serial stalkers.

Hell, chopperone, if you spend enough time on the Internet, maybe your thinking will evolve. Maybe as you see more and more people getting drafted into scams, maybe you'll come to see the economic and national-security implications of all of this. Not sure if you're a writer, but maybe you'll decide to use your talents to make whatever difference you can make.

That's the choice I made more than four years ago. Some of the early critics of my reports on scams were slime-bucketeers such as your (current) self. They didn't want to believe their "program" was a scam, but their thinking evolved over time and they became members of the antiscam community. I count these folks among my friends now.

    PPBlog

P.S. Sometimes I use fantasy to drive home a larger point about the dangers of scamming going unchecked on the Internet. Like this:

Many of us have become targets as we continue to try and expose these malicious programs that lure people into get rich quick schemes. Your website is a tremendous source of information that many of us rely on. It is a shame that you are constantly attacked by the criminals as they don't like to be called on their game.

chopperone sounds like he/she would fit right in with the Adlandpro scammers and those marketers using Facebook as a launching pad now.

Now you have your own thread here PP and we will make it a good one!!
Don't get ripped off!! Stay informed!

I don't know how you keep up your schedule, what with blogging as Patrick Pretty, working as an investigative journalist as Patrick Hernan, plus also writing pulp fiction as Patrick Hernan.

Slime-bucketeer? Wow, I've never been called that, before, and certainly never thought I'd be honored thusly by someone as famous!

While we are on the subject, how do you explain this?

"Patrick Pretty is the author of “Pluck Forever“, a guide to selling products while steering clear of hype. He also is the author of “Write Faster, Write Better,” a guide to improving the speed and quality of your Internet Marketing articles. Patrick Pretty is a coauthor of “20 Ways To Make $100 Per Day Online” and a member of The Internet Marketing Inner Circle." (Source: Patrick Pretty: Free Branding Report To Make Money )

Who you calling a slime-bucketeer? ;) If PP and PH are one and the same, then PP was hyping junk while PH was "exposing" junk AT THE SAME TIME - it's all there in cyber land. You can write long replies full of smoke and mirrors all you want, but the facts for anyone who will look are still there, though you may try long and hard to cover your tracks.

Personally, I could care less. But if you are going to call others crooks for things they did in their past, fess up to your own. I can respect that, cause I've made plenty of my own.

I wouldn't know who he's married to, but tracking past websites and activities shows crimeamerica.com tying the two Patricks together as one person.

Well, I'd guess I'd explain it like this: Pluck Forever was "a guide to selling products while steering clear of hype." And "Write Faster, Write Better" was "a guide to improving the speed and quality of your Internet Marketing articles." And it's true that I was a co-author of “20 Ways To Make $100 Per Day Online” and at one times was a member of The Internet Marketing Inner Circle.

Please feel free to wrap as many conspiracy theories around it as you'd like.

LOL. It's not much of a revelation, though, given that it takes maybe 12 seconds to associate PP with the Warrior Forum, the place from which I tried to launch/build the PP brand. It's interesting, though, that you'd advance a conspiracy theory of "covering tracks," especially since the information is readily available in Google. I was a Mod there between December 2007 and July 2008. Just being at the Warrior Forum gave me an education on the best and the worst about "Internet Marketing."

My reasoning was simple: No one would be able to sell anything online if IMers didn't start speaking out against scams. Beyond that, it became clear that forums and social media sites could do little to control the scammers in their midst. Lots of the HYIPers have Facebook and YouTube sites these days.

Maybe It's just me, but, when did "junk" become an all encompassing term to include e-books with little value to YOU and internet crime ???

    I don't read comic books.

To me, comic books could be considered "junk"

Do you consider HYIPponzi fraud, cash gifting and pseudo MLMs as merely being "junk" in the same way I consider comics to be "junk"

Here's a free tip for you:

if you're going to continue your career in "slimebucketry" at least when you attempt to expose someones' history, try and find something about which your target might be the slightest embarrassed.

I mean, c'mon, "Write Faster, Write Better" is hardly likely to bring out the FBI, is it ???

What, did “20 Ways To Make $100 Per Day Online” come with naked dancing girls or something ????

Mind you, I can see how "Write Faster, Write Better" could be construed as being offensive to someone who has difficulty writing at all, perhaps that's what's at the root of your problem with Patrick.

If this is the standard of "exposing" and "naming and shaming" we can expect from you, I'm fairly confident in predicting your career in "slimebucketry" is going to be short and definitely not sweet.

Good line, LRM. There is a story with "20 Ways," though: It got stolen just hours after the launch and put on eBay, where the thief slashed the price by two-thirds.

The guy took the website lock, stock and barrel, including the support address. So, he stole the book and the website and reposted it on eBay. And because the support link was there, he passed off support to TIMIC. eBay removed the page, and then the book got stolen and placed elsewhere for free.

About the thing happened with my now-defunct PonziNews site. Thief stole all of my stories and put them up on his own site that he monetized by various means while employing an SEO strategy to bury my site. In short, I produced the content and he got the income.

Is this where we all dive for google and see what comes up on the first page? lol

......ok - Back again. Checked it out on google pages 1 to 3 and he is some kind of indie band or a punk named Josh. Oh! What do you mean "that doesn't count as due diligence"? I've found out things!

Oh, so its not this one?

He has an 'entrepreneurial spirit' which usually means... yeah. He's probably upset at something Patrick or Realscam.com has written about his favourite entrepreneurial business program.

It doesn't say anything about conspiracy theories as one of his interests though, so maybe its not the same chopperone?

It doesnt say anything about him playing in an indie band, but there again, it doesn't say he doesn't and it doesn't say that he is a conspiracy theorist who promotes online biz opps and it doesn't say he isn't. The possibilities are endless.

Anymore possible chopperones? I like his ideas for research.
