Scam.com George Dranichak (Vladimir Sviatoslavich) / Sojustask (Stephanie Haberman)
So a site that has been around for years that has grown into one of the most prolific scambusting sites on the net literally looks like it has self destructed within 60 days due to some incredibly mind numbing decisions. It could have survived a history of mysteriously deleted threads and an owner who seemed to ignore the site and it's moderators completely.
But to make a guy who is so obviously pro Scam the administrator of a scam site seemingly makes it look like he wanted to torpedo the site. Once that decision was made, moderators who dedicated literally thousands of hours to the site's success were banned or left within days. Leaving a tyrant who is a complete b*tch to everyone who encountered her and an Admin who didn't have a clue how to use the Admin panel, to run the site completely off the web within 45 days. Very, very sad.

re: Scam.com George Dranichak (Vladimir Sviatoslavich) / Sojustask (Stephanie Haberman)
I decided last month to stop going to scam.com because of all the problems . . . I remember over 100 of my posts instantly disappeared because somebody (I don't know who) deleted an entire thread in the Mail Scams forum.
This problem (of disappearing threads) was even worse in the MLM forum. What's the point of posting when everything gets deleted? What a waste of time.
Plus, "Zachary" was placing his own "Naked News" spam all over the place. It was disgusting. He was ruining his own website. When the highly respected Moderator SBM got banned for doing nothing wrong, that was the final straw for me.
It seems like most of the mods had already abandoned the site . . at least the best mods. Lady Mod's behavior was deplorable.
I remember when Lady Mod closed a thread and said that it was "not polite to talk about someone" when that person was banned. But she had no problem talking about No Moron Here after he quit and then got banned. And look at the way she treated SBM. She attacked SBM and still complained about her after she got banned and left the site. I think Lady Mod even changed something about SBM after she left. What was that . . . vengeance? It was shameful.
So much for being polite.
At least Len is no longer an Administrator. That's the one positive thing to come out of all of this.

How's that?

Well Doc . . . since the site no longer exists, what is Len an Administrator of? He's gone.
Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe the website is temporarily down for some unknown reason.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Scam.com was once upon a time, the best forum out there, but of late was simply falling apart, for all the reasons already given on this thread.I personally lost seven complete threads with no reasons given by Admin or anyone else.It was clear Zac had no real interest in the site.
Anyway, thats all history now, lets all go forward with this great new forum!

Interesting that site goes down at roughly the same time this sites comes up?
What a coincidence.

From my understanding, this site was launched a little early in order to fill the void created when SCAM.COM vanished without a trace, or warning. Granted, some of us had a pretty good hunch it was swirling the drain over a month ago but...
Rest assured this site would have launched even if SCAM.COM was up and running still. We'd have more to talk about too as I'm sure there'd be fireworks aplenty going off over there about now.

Very true. This forum was brought online the middle of last week and many people were working on it behind the scenes. We still had plenty of work left to do when scam went offline but we stepped things up a bit and beg the indulgence of our early members while we iron out the list of many things that need to be fixed. SBM, RSAdmin, myself and several others wanted to make a place that did what the other site should have been doing but wasn't. We had no way to know scam would go offline but did what we did anyway, so even if they come back, our objectives wont change a bit.

And believe me, all of the efforts of everyone involved is more than appreciated. Great job.

Glim and RS are the real heroes. They handled all the technical stuff. I just wrote the rules and organized a few things. They are the true genuises. We welcome all your feedback and suggestions. This is everyone's community! And, yes I am still in the process of learning about all the intricacies, but before long it will be smooth sailing!

You know.. I really hate people deleting threads and posts.. No one but me has posted in the oceanside threadfora while.. But before there were 168 posts, now 167...
Why do you think someone would go in and delete one post?

Now THAT was fast. I can't get there. Oh well. No great loss.
We have one of our questions answered. They DO want to get back online.

Did you point out something negative about Broker Jones or Lenny? That could explain it.

By the way, I was able to get there just now by typing in scam.com and found only two registered posters online.
Most users ever online was 33,928, 11-30-2007 at 03:11 PM.

re: Scam.com George Dranichak (Vladimir Sviatoslavich) / Sojustask (Stephanie Haberman)
Scam.com was hit by a Denial of Service attack. Since another website (Business For Home.org) was hit just a couple weeks ago for their negative comments about a scam called TVI Express, and a very negative thread exists on Scam.com about this same scam, and both DOS attacks were initiated from East Asia, it is likely they are related.
But is is interesting that when a website that is designed to expose scams gets shut down by scammers, you all celebrate and root for the cyber-terrorists!
I also just want to point out one more thing... after I became an admin at Scam.com I began to enforce one, and only one, rule - no more completely baseless personal attacks made my someone just because it makes them feel good. That's it! That's the ONLY thing that has changed at Scam.com. And it is very interesting to see who has chosen not to participate under this restriction.
Someone in another thread commented that Scam.com was like a boil that finally came to a head and popped. I completely agree with the analogy. And it appears all the puss came here.

Why yes it did. We were expecting you. Mr. MLM Forum Board Whore Extraordinaire has finally arrived. Don't you have another more important job to do over at scam.com? You know, like unlocking threads so you may continue to belittle the mods? You learned that from LM, right? Asshat. You'll just never get it, Len. You're like a turd that won't flush.

Numbers are already up. BTW, unless you are a mod there, you aren't going to see the people who choose the option of being unseen.

scam.com doesn't seem to be working very well to me.

There were 6 registered people online. Four of them chose to remain unseen.

I wouldn't waste your time there. I've gotten a virus twice from that board. Instead of taking care of the problem when I alerted other posters, Lenny banned me.
Nice work Lenny.

Yeah, folks can't resist watching a train wreck.
Of course, the number of posts is way down.
(I'll wait patiently for an explanation of that.)
