    A Belated Introduction

Hi, guys and gals at RealScam!

It's taken me a while to get around to introducing myself; I've been too busy with my vandetta [sic] against Banners Broker!
Well, the pimps, shills, and everything worse call it a vendetta, it's no such thing - I'm just one of those guys who'll help an old lady across the street ... without stealing her purse.
So, when I see HYIP pimps recruiting elderly people - or anyone for that matter - I feel a sense of public duty to try and stop this.
Nobody with good morals wants to see someone lose their money; some will gain money in a Ponzi - they're not earning it though, they're stealing it.
Ponzi scheme are theft/fraud, completely criminal, and exceptionally immoral.

Now, I've mentioned a little about myself, I'll go into a bit more detail.
I live in Greater Manchester, United Kingdom that is. I'm a computer engineer, yup, I fix computers for a living - not something I want to do all of my life, but it pays the bills!
If you have any computer issues I can advise you on how to fix 'em - if you need remote help I have a fixed rate of £20

I like researching people, companies and other things that a simple Google search won't find. I'm in the process of putting a due diligence guide together - with links of the places to go to look for certain pieces of information. We all need a little help from time-to-time.

So that's me introduced - if you have any question, just ask (I may just answer them)!

Hello Jason and welcome to RealScam. You and friends have jumped in here and been of abundant help already. Keep up the good work and remember it takes times to get a company going, you might ask Eagle and Patrick Pretty about that!!

We could all use lessons on DD that go further than Google. There are several I can think of now that need much more investigation to get the authorities involved.

I used to help with fixing computers and loved it!! I can only envy your skills, mine are self-taught by trial and error but cover years of trying!!
Don't get ripped off!! Stay informed!

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

DD Guide would be a UK version for now, as that's where I'm based and use many UK-only tools/websites.

I will try to put an American on together with the help of Eagle.
Sometimes you already knew of the places to check, but ... a crib sheet would help you remember where to check.

I mainly taught myself from the age of 12-years-old. Then I got a job in local government (mayor's office/THE CITY) and now I am an engineer for a local firm who do business contracts for medium-large businesses.

If you help old people accross roads and they can't remember right from left remember to replace those words woth knife and fork! GOF taught me to use my C-panel again after I had my stroke and he had to say fork click or knife click because I burst into tears if he said right click or left click. I though I had dementia. Some things come back very quickly but others are very difficult to re learn.

You have helped me so one good deed deserves another. I used to interpret the industrial psychometric profiling tests that you wil have to do when you go for the interview for the job you want. Whatever you do don't try to cheat the system and tell them what you think they want to know. I have sent you an e-mail with some facts that should make you feel very happy about doing it. As I specialised in recruiting hardware and software engineers it is quite useful information.

    Re: A Belated Introduction

I just thought I'd update this.

It's come to my attention that I know next-to-nothing about online scams.
I know about Banners Broker - when I speak to Judy on the phone she mentions a multitude of names that go in one ear, and out of the other!

Got a brief summary anywhere of the biggest scams?

The RS members who know the most about the early days include "okosh", "Lita" and "Eddie Haskell" Jason. They were very powerful influences on TalkGold and helped to bring down more scams than most. I hope we can encourage Eddie and Lita to post more.

My knowledge is pretty good when it comes to autosurfs because I played the games for small change and recommended autosurfs for A PUNT. I only stopped when "okosh" battered me into a pulp to make me see sense. I know next to nothing about MLMs but I do know most of the advertising boards where autosurfs hyips and MLMs were promoted. Some of the people who modded on those boards were really great mates and there is one from TG who is among my most trusted Internet friends.

The first social networking site which really took off was Adlandpro. Adland intoduced Internet users to Autosurf Authority and loads of people regarded ASA as an anti scam network. Scam.com was another site which presented itself as a scam busting site and was rotten to the core. There are some of the gems from the early days of Adlandpro in RS and one who can be trusted is Luella May.

What we need are names of professional historians who have specialised in the first decade of Internet crime. As a recruitment consultant, I should be able to try and headhunt such a person. I will do my best to do that when I am no longer doing part time work. That time should not be too long in the future now.
