    Suing for Deformation

I don't know you and you don't know me, So why are you putting my personal information on this site. This is very dangerous in nature. I will find out what I can do to get my information removed, I will be contacting the authorities to see what kind of action I can take against this site. You might think it's funny but I am a real person and my information should not be broadcast to the world without my consent. You really need to stop this. You think you are hurting us, but in the long run you are hurting yourself.

    Re: Suing for Deformation

    Welcome Felicia,

I copied one of the post I believe you are whining about to this lovely thread you started.

Deformation you say? A little deformation of the brain perhaps? Did you mean defamation? That I can help you with.

Here is what happened to the first smarmy idiot that sued me. He has hundreds of posts about him all over the internet as well:

Darnell v. Dobrott | Digital Media Law Project

Take a look at 47 USC 230. In relevant part, it reads: "No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider." In other words, the "scam site owner" is not liable for what others post. Moreover, since this is a federal statute, it preempts any state law to the contrary.

Perhaps you should be careful what you promote and put online. You might also be surprised by what constitutes public record!

This is so sad, All I ask is that you remove my information from this site. You are providing personal information about my life that should be disclosed to the public. I am new to the internet and to see something like this is unreal. All I can say is WHY. I'm sure you don't want people giving your home address out. I don't understand but whatever I need to do to get help on this matter I am willing to do. You have a blessed day. This is so, so, sad.

    Dear "Recruiter",
Maybe you should stop sucking people into scams and benefit on it,
than you will not be shamed by anyone online.

There, Felicia, fixed it for you.

    * The information is available in the public domain.

    * We obtained it legally.

    * YOU put it in the public domain

    * There is no "deformation" or even "defamation"

    * You ARE Inviter #121986 on both the Prosper With Integrity and 2010 Blessings illegal cash gifting websites

    * Cash gifting IS illegal in the U.S.A.

    * They ARE your IBOSocial profile, personal website and Facebook page

    * Cash gifters stand to lose more than just their money by associating themselves with the behind the scenes criminal promoters of gifting

Ho, hum... Another "I'm gonna sue" illegal scheme pimp...But at the end of the day ya got nuttin', just like all the others that have made the same threats...!
Here's a hint: Ya want something kept private? Don't post it on the web! Kinda like telling the town gossip a secret...!
It seems like in this "industry" common sense is not all that common!

    Re: Suing for Deformation

This thread is a great example of the ignorance of some of those who fall for these illegal scams.

I'm not saying she's the one who posted all of her personal information on the internet BUT she was the one who posted all of her personal information on the internet.

Lol , yeah she is new to the internet but already joined an online scam, joined facebook, uploaded pictures of illegal money she has received, found realscam.com, signed up on realscam.com, and posted on realscam.com. Damn, she is good.

It appears the only things Felicia failed to do was research the legality of cash gifting schemes and the inadvisability of publicly announcing her involvement with such illegal activities.

Which, when you come to think of it isn't really strange, given the true nature of cash gifting and cash gifters.

I can only presume you meant to type "SHOULDN'T be disclosed to the public" in which case, I would have to agree with you entirely, they SHOULDN'T

The problem is, Felicia, YOU DID disclose your OWN personal information to the public.

    YOU did it.

We have only reproduced what YOU put out there on the internet and which YOU associated with illegal cash gifting

If you or anyone else wants to believe your "sponsor" that participating in and promoting cash gifting is legal and risk free, that's your choice, but, it isn't.

    Yes, Ms. Joyner, you will.

A few words about U.S. law:

    (1) There is nothing unlawful about reposting information about you that you yourself made public. If you wish to guard your privacy, you should, well, guard your privacy.

    (2) Even if there were, a site such as this one is not responsible for what people post on it. As Soapboxmom correctly wrote, that's 47 USC § 230.

    (3) There is commentary in this thread about something that actually is illegal: "cash gifting". It's nothing more than an electronic chain letter, illegal everywhere in the U.S. The fact that there are a lot of these things floating around doesn't prove they're legal, it just proves that law enforcement has higher priorities. If you pick a day and go to Jackson, do you think you could find a three-card monte game or twenty?

So, Ms. Joyner, I hope you shall see. And then knock off the g(r)ifting.

Let's completely pulverize the deceased equine shall we? Per your sentence (in bold above) your information SHOULD BEdisclosed on the internet, initially by yourself, and then here... so what exactly is your complaint?

Ironically, despite the unwelcome (to her) exposure she's had here, Felicia is still promoting her cash gifting link.
If you are in Prosper With Integrity, and do not like that your personal information has been published here, please talk to these good people: http://www.attorneygeneral.gov http://www.ic3.gov http://www.fbi.gov

Is it possible that someone is using her name without her knowledge or consent (i.e. identity theft)?

The best thing that you can do is to stop this cash gifting folly. Eagle has a chapter in his book which explains the way that cash gifters obey instructions to wrap their bank notes in black paper and go to great lengths to avoid postal scanners. You may have been a bit of a "silly moo" to have not realized that this was decidedly dodgy but you got caught The best thing is to stop cash gifting immediately and admit being utterly naive.

People will respect you if you warn other people what happens to those who get caught and stop moaning. If you were just being a naive silly moo, it is better to admit it and learn from some of the very well informed people here like Eagle, SBM and "wserra."

It is far better to be caught doing something stupid than to be caught evading postal scanners with wads of cash!
