Hiya, Jamma,
As has been the case recently with HYIP ponzi prosecutions in the USA, this prosecution is being handled differently than previous cash gifting cases, so it is hard to do anything but speculate on the outcomes.
Instead of being charged at a State level with running a pyramid scheme, the women have actually been charged under Federal laws with multiple offenses which carry a range of potentially severe penalties:
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/c...man/indict.jpg
Potentially, depending on how the cases are handled, the penalties are now much more severe than has been the case previously and include imprisonment, fines, disgorgement of monies received as well a the range of penalties available to the IRS.
Cash gifting is no longer being treated as penny ante stuff.
Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
So I haven't heard anything more from you guys so I went and checked out the site. It has been fleshed out some more it appears. It also appears that Mike has removed the list of regional directors.
Anyone else have anymore insight?
Oh I caught this hidden in with the links...
upon wings of angels (Upon Wings of Angels- Scam or Not?) is the title of the post so it looks like Mr. Long stumbled across this website or is going on the offensive because he knows it is one.
Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
I attempted to call you and speak to you man to man.
But, your phone number is the same as your domain
registrar; typical of registrants who like to hide. I wanted
to know why you chose to besmirch my reputation without
cause?
I admire people who are serious about protecting consumers
from scams, etc, but I am repulsed by parasitic p*ss ants who
pretend to do the same only to garner attention and alexa rankings.
There is an ongoing debate in the legal community regarding the legality
of cash gifting. An intelligent discussion is welcomed. But, why destroy
a person's reputation based on supposition and innuendo?
You guys don't know me but I know you very well. I have met you many
times. You are bullies who beat on AVERAGE people with your key board.
Why don't you attack the big guys who really abuse gifting laws?
(Reuters tax columnist: 'Romney didn't pay a gift tax on $100M')
There are several Regional Directors listed on the Wings of Angels site.
Why did you choose to compare me to some guy named "BigMoneyLloyd"?
It's probably because you wear a pointed hat at night'
You guys would have been at Calvary that day. And you would not have
been on the side of the MAN carrying the cross.
You publish FBI sites. I bet I know more FBI agents than you. Nothing but
hype.
I inherited a good name from my parents. I have passed it on to my children.
I will not give it up without a fight. Especially, to the likes of you.
By the way, consumer protectors, how many hungry people have you fed lately?
What shelter will you attend during the holidays? That's a form of gifting too. How
many children, friends and associates of ours have you affected with your accusations?
I can't call you, but you can call me or even visit me. You have all of my contact info, but
none of us has yours. How interesting?

Jose... the legal community concluded that cash gifting was illegal and unethical long ago. It is not a subject under debate among serious law students.
Let me provide you with a few links to explain why. Read them at your leisure.

Think we're making it up, Jose ???
Think this is personal ???
How would your "good name" survive appearing on an indictment like this one: US Govt vs Bello, Platt, Hopkins indictment May 2012
Forget about what you've been told by your "uplines"
These ladies have been indicted for Conspiracy to defraud the Internal Revenue Service, False tax return, wire fraud, aiding and abetting and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Who are you going to believe ???
A Federal Grand jury or some stranger who stands to profit from your efforts ??

Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
You can copy and paste as many links and article references as
you wish in support of your position. In law school, we were taught
that technique too. It's called an information "dump". It is always
designed to confuse, frustrate or even, deceive. I could easily present
an equal amount of information to the contrary.
But, I am not trying to change your mind about cash gifting.
All monies received by U S citizens as a gift is legal if they properly
report it. Furthermore, nobody is FORCED to join a cash gifting activity.
I registered at your site because I could not reach you otherwise
to ask you why you are besmirching my reputation on the world
wide web. I will not allow you to pretend that my purpose is to
defend cash gifting. You have already made up your mind on the
subject. But, you are telling my kids, relatives, friends and associates
that I am a scam artist based on tangential affiliations. My friend, you
are treading on dangerous legal grounds.
What would you do if you felt that you have been falsely represented?
You might know some scam artist. I am not one of them. Frankly, I think
what you do is, at best, questionable and at least, self-serving.
Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
neither are we trying to change YOUR mind about cash gifting.
Hopefully, however, someone who IS open to the reality behind the dangers of becoming involved with cash gifting will read this exchange and realize things are NOT as they are being told and there ARE multiple dangers involved with cash gifting.
Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
Here we go again, more obfuscation. How many ways can
I tell you that this is not about cash gifting? If people don't
pay their taxes, they should suffer the consequences no
matter the source of income! PERIOD!
Now, back to my concern. How did you determine that I am
a scam artist?
Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
Jose, or Mr. Love, whichever method you prefer to be addressed,
Initially, all I did was compile websites and contact information that you had publicly used. Among that information was a membership in a group of known lawbreakers who continued to operate even after multiple court actions to shut them down. There was also a connection to a "sovereign citizen" whose anti-government activities and cult recruitment tactics have brought her into conflict with me in the past.
Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
But it is about the scam of cash gifting. Otherwise, you would just give your money to people that really need it and expect nothing in return as the law says. You wouldn't need to trumpet what a good soul you think you are and give out ways for people to send to you. This is what gets you scammers every single time.
Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
"Initially, all I did was compile websites and contact information that you had publicly used"
What a method! I am one of the most pro-government people you could meet. I am also
pro-first amendment. I don't find those in conflict with each other.
Before now, I used your site as a guide, even though, I had not registered until several hours
ago. Unfortunately, based on your admitted method of determining good and evil, I think you
guys are as dangerous as the real crooks!

Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
Method of determining good and evil? An unusual statement for you to make, given my background.
You may feel that you are pro-government, Mr. Love, and that may well be quite true. However, you have
associated with people who most definitely aren't, and who also practiced "cash gifting" to the detriment
of that government. Finding you listed among the claimed regional directors and contacts for another
cash gifting program is not something that appears, at first glance, like a pro-government or pro-law
stance on your part. Do you understand?

Are you representing this as a statement of fact? If so, who are these
sinister characters?
I remember, in 2007, 2008 many of us had to defend a prominent figure against
"paling" around with sinister characters based on your methods of affiliation.
Do you realize that I know more about you than I know about the owner of
Wings of Angels or anybody else to whom you have referred in your bogus
posts? In fact, why didn't you ask the owner of Wings of Angels what is
the role of people listed as Regional Directors? Not good.
One of your biggest omissions is to not acknowledge that affiliate marketers,
like me, because of back links, blogs and the like, can appear linked to many
entities and characters with whom they have no direct relationship.
I think that the more you verbally spar with me, the more credibility you
lose with your followers. Jus' saying!
Try to enjoy the rest of your weekend. I have made my point.
Re: Upon Wings of Angels - charity fraud
P.S. Do you find it difficult to believe that a person who
looks like me could have attended law school?

Nothing to do with the way you look at all.
EVERYTHING to do with the way you're in complete denial about cash gifting and your involvement with it.

That is a non-sequitur, Mr. Love. The two are completely unrelated.
That a man who attended law school published "Is Cash Gifting Illegal or Legal Here is the Truth and Final Word" in Oct. of 2010,
followed 2 weeks later by "Start Flip'n from Scarcity to Abundance - No One Left Behind" which contained your personal
membership link of http://teambuildnetwork.connectingusall.org, that boggles the mind.
You do know what the definitions of organized crime and racketeering are, I trust?

I think Mr Love would do well to stop accusing others of obfuscation, look up the meaning of the word "disingenuous" and meditate on it's use in describing his posts in this thread.

Your latest incoherent ramblings are nothing but an attempt to
convince your followers that your site is still relevant. But, just
like many people read the crap you posted about me, they also
see my defense. Your accusatory tone is not playing well in cyber
land. Ideological rantings don't make you right. I don't care about
how you feel about cash gifting or any other strong beliefs you
harbor. But, I dare you to accuse me of scamming anybody ever
again!!!
