Re: Banners Broker HYIP ponzi scam

Here's a laugh, goes to show how desperate they are to bamboozle the minions.

I was following links and landed on this website which is your typical BB 'Choice' website, but noticed a new 'banner' ad for a website called franchisify. So had a look on there (wonder how Mcdonalds, Subway and the others feel about this poor attempt at a website) and saw..... more new banners! For a site called quotepunk. So went there and saw posts with dates going back to June (and the usual boring Banners Broker green ads).

Of course, a quick look-up shows that quotepunk was only registered in August 2012, to one Rajiv Dixit. And franchisify is registered and updated around the same date, using the same registrant details as used on quotepunk and other BB associated sites.

Trying to create more 'legitimacy', but failing badly.

Chris you can lean on point 7 as hard and as often as you want - but you are making a fool out of yourself my friend.

Let's pretend for a minute that every single publisher within BB network demands confidentiality and BB has signed an NDA with every single one of the 200,000 of them.

Even with that (which is the advertising probability equivalent of using a sand wedge to hit a hole on one from Augusta -- to a green on the dark side of the moon) -- then the complete and total lack of reporting on ad campaign effectiveness from BB drives the last nail into your argument's coffin.

Please, for those of us that actually know how the advertising industry works -- can you stop with the nonsense? Banners Broker is not running an organic advertising. And they are not working with Clicksor except for a superficial relationship so they can serve up a few porn or gambling ads.

There's nothing here Chris, it's a farce and you know it. You can keep babbling about it if you want but it's a useless argument.

Just read it. It is more or less a summary of what has been said on this thread. They more or less say that BB is a pyramid scheme and that Paul McCarthy is a liar. The only thing that they didn't really go into was about identity fraud. Although they did say that people are sending on their passport details.

Now... Us making claims here is one thing. But a national newspaper is something completely different. Lets see what BB's move is after this. For all the drones out there. If BB do not take a legal position(and win) on this article it is proof that BB is a scam. There is no arguing around this.

That is 3 or 4 reputable investigative journalists who have looked into bb. And all draw the same conclusions. Wonder how bb stalwarts view these journalists. Dreamstealers? naysayers? I imagine in depth investigations into the leaders of this ponzi are well underway.

I use Firefox and the add-on NoScript. Now I can't explain NoScript and how it works, but I do know that it blocks stuff on websites. When I followed the links you put up, what I did see was little boxes with "behavioural targeting" written on them... You will not be surprised as to where these took me

Why won't you tell us? What are you so afraid of? I thought you would be proud to say what your involvement is.

What a challenge...they would like to do the both - close their eyes like nothing happens -and- to answer and argue with journalists. The funny thing is - whatever they choose to do,they will proove they are ponzi..the life is sometimes really hard

Wow, that is one of the quickest turn arounds from a shill ever. One minute he is defending the program with all his might(although admittedly quite terribly). Then he tries to distance himself from any association with the scam.

Ladies and gentlemen, you have just witnessed a rat deserting a sinking ship, live on t'internet!

Well. If I was a member of bb. watching the evidence stacking up. Reading one expose after another, newspapers, radio, tv next I'm sure. I would be sickened too. I would go down fighting. But I would go down fighting against the guys who scammed me, not defending them, in the hope I could get a little of my money back before it crashes. 82 guests and 7 members on here now. Im sure a large number of the guests are worried bb members. Speak up guys.

The article says Pretty much nothing we don't know already but hopefully it will the info out to a wider audience.

It calls Banners Broker an alleged international pyramid scheme and a get rich quick scheme.

It basically calls Paul McCarthy a liar.

Says McCarthy describes himself as an independent contractor.

Accuses McCarthy of strongly encouraging Irish people to join the scheme.

McCarthy told them there are now 5000 Irish members.

The National Consumer Agency confirmed they have received complaints in relation to the firm.

One of the men who heads up the organisation who uses the name Raj Dixit was previously linked to the ICF World Home Pyramid scheme that
was shut down by the Canadian authorities.

McCarthy told them we don't guarantee any money the average earnings of an affiliate is "less than $40 a month".

McCarthy blames affiliates for exaggerating earnings even though at a recorded meeting he did the same.

Mention of the Liveline Radio show the other day where one man invested $2000 that is now worth $75,000. McCarthy says he knows of no such case
he says "I'm not saying he's telling lies or anything like that, but you don't put in $2000 and get $75,000 in six months."

The firm says it can make people rich through investing in a complicated panel system that promises unrealistic amounts of money.

However in typical pyramid scheme fashion reps say you can make even more money by recruiting other people to invest.

Then mentions the website where the ads are The Choice Network described as "Poorly built and of little interest" the site where all put up at the same time on the same server. No trace of ads on any independent sites.

Mentions people are asked to send over passport scans as part of the registration process so increasing the risk of identity theft.

Also mentions people being locked out of accounts for bad mouthing Banners Broker online. (PHIL POYO ?) and money stolen.

A number of ploys put into place to slowdown payments.

Reduced the ways to get money out, people waiting months for cards.

Longer waiting periods for larger amounts of money.

Chris Smith & Raj Dixit speaking in Citywest Hotel this weekend.

McCarthy said 10 people employed in the Irish office with a further 13 on the road.

He also said anyone who wants a refund will "100 per cent " get their money back

Last line of article says "It remains to be seen whether that was another lie added to a growing list"

If Simon Stepsys or Mark Ghobril are involved it's 100% a SCAM!

Not sure if I'm allowed to post these facsimiles of the Sunday World article. I'm sure if they aren't happy, they'll let the mods know who will remove it.

Who in their right mind would trust someone who looks like that and sounds like we know he sounds. There will be alot of sob stories after this collapses but there will have to be a certain amount of personal responsibility.

Thanks for putting it up Hypanor.
