What worries me is that people are not realising the amounts involved and how this will impact on them from a business point of view. I really do think there are a lot of people not even registering as self employed - and don't get me started on the potential people who are on the dole and doing this! HMRC have a new campaign looking at people in the Direct Selling industry. This would come into that. A key factor here is that HMRC would be perfectly entitled to go to Banners Broker and ask for a list of affiliates, including contact details. Furthermore they have the identification which again HMRC would be entitled to have so that they can trace all of these people.
Nice to welcome a fellow beancounter. I think i was shown the forum you posted on before. You and other accountants clearly laid out the rules and the non-accountants decided that they knew better. I think the higher up people tried to defuse it by saying "lets wait and see". Fantastic tax advice. Not. I love the fact they all vehemently argue it is a trade and then vehemently argue they don't have to register as it is not a trade. Abu Hamza could count their collective IQs on his fingers.

Like you i am not 100% sure, presumably because we are trained to be logical and NOTHING is 100%. I am about 99.9% certain it is a ponzi, and getting more certain each day.

Looks like Bannersbroker are struggling to pay members from what they are saying at TalkingBB:

"Yes, I don't believe there is any particular schedule.

I've been waiting 7 weeks to get a withdrawal, which
was originally from Payza. After a 4 week wait I had
to contact them to get it reversed due to the security
    issues at the time.

I then put in an STP withdrawal on the 2nd of this
month. If the money is there then there should be
    no reason not to pay.

Contacting the live help doesn't work as they
cut the communication and send a canned response
when they see what your question is.

It appears you need to spend 4 weeks waiting then
another 4 chasing them up. So I hope I can get paid
    in the next 5 weeks.

Quitye a few are unhappy on the UK forum...

    Quote:

"I agree, this is getting ridiculous.

I requested my second direct deposit withdrawal on Sept 15th.

Was told several times through webinars, etc, that direct deposits were not affected by the security problems, and that no action was required on my part.

Was told last week via Chris' Friday Q and A himself that US DD payments would go out over the weekend.

Talked to chat last night and was told that my w/d request would need to be reversed, and I should have known that because it's been on all the webinars, etc.!!!

I told them that was not acceptable, she reversed the w/d request for me and was gone.

    <sigh>

Looks like another classic snatchback, to keep the money in the system.

    Hello Everyone,

I only have 3 referrals but one of them is a pretty big marketer online
that spent $1800 on Banners Broker right after joining. About 3 weeks
ago his login e-mail address was changed and he can no longer login.
None of his other online businesses have been hacked and his e-mail
accounts are all fine. I provided several phone numbers for him to try
but nobody answers when he calls. He has tried "Live Chat" 3 times
but he keeps getting booted off after waiting in the Que for 10 - 15
minutes. He wants to just write it off and eat the $1800 BUT obviously
I don't want him to do that. He does have a support ticket in but there
    has been no reply.

"Soozi" or anyone out there... can you help him? What can he do to regain
    control of his account?

    Thanks

Have any of the cheerleaders tried to shut these people up?

So delays with STP so solution is to get mastercard. Thing is, people can be waiting months and months for that. Yet another delaying tactic!

I'm currently awaiting two meetings. One for some media coverage (I'll say no more) and ... two to speak to an ex-colleague at Trading Standards.

More problems with people getting paid by BB:

Quote: My 9/7 Payza wd has still not been paid. Nor has my 9/18/12 wd. All I get from support is the canned answer that payments have been made on 10/2/12. If that is so, where the heck is my money? Also have not received any call from BB. Tried US number to Canada and no one picked up. Has been a frustrating experience to say the least. I would have thought BB would be much better by now with all the work they say they have been doing. My biggest issue really is the constant canned answers from support. They need a little more creativity in that department...lol

Oh dear, Could that be because Payza have stopped paying?:

Reply #40 on: Today at 04:30:47 AM
Hear it from the Horses mouth.

It has recently come to our attention that Payza will no longer be providing full money services to a number of countries for an extended period of time including the United Kingdom and India. Due to this we have chosen to take preventative action and stop paying out through Payza to avoid affiliates having their money locked down and unreachable. When Payza returns to normal operations we may again add this method for withdrawls.

If I am understanding the official response I would suggest it is all Payza accounts!?!?!?!?!?

Yes, it looks like Payza has been withdrawn folks:

    Reply #30 on: October 15, 2012, 07:43:53 PM »

    Hi

My wife has a payza account which was opened a few weeks ago with no problem and money has been received into it ok. I tried to open another account for myself last week and got the same message. I contacted payza support and got this message over the weekend:

"I apologize for the inconvenience but residents in the UK cannot register for a Payza account at this time. While we are currently working on enhancing our service offerings for our UK members, we are unfortunately unable process any requests for new accounts for UK residents. The Payza platform should be operational and fully available to all UK residents by the end of the year."

Am sure this will be a problem for many seeking to withdraw in the meantime..looks like STP or bb card at the moment for UK. Plan to submit a ticket to bb support to see if they are aware of this.

Not looking good to get paid through Payza this side of Christmas..Does it really take that long to upgrade the Payza system to provide better service to customers? ;)

    I dont think so.

Ok so what options are left to get money out of BB?:

    Frank
    Reply #37 on: October 20, 2012, 01:47:43 PM »
Withdrawing through Payza is not possible at moment.

STP will charge me 40 USD for Bank Transfer and will take forever to aprove my bank account and then to send the money to my bank. I don't have a Credit Card to use that alternative and even if I did, I saw some posts of people that had attempts to use their cards after using them on STP.

The card will take months and months to arrive, plus my adress was not approved yet, so I don't even know if there's any point in ordering the card before I get adress approved.

I am kind of lost and don't know how to get my money at the moment...

Looks like people are screwed now. Surely there is enough evidence to attempt some kind of legal action against BB? Answers on postcard please...

    Recommend an accountant

    « on: July 06, 2012, 03:16:01 PM »

I used to have a very good accountant when I ran a business (window cleaning) a
few years ago; however, since starting this I am anxious to get someone that
knows their stuff in this type of industry.

Has anyone got any good contacts that can help me? Who do you use? Do I even
need 1 (I hate forms and Inland Revenue scare me)

If my strategy works I aim to be drawing out about £500 per month from 2013.

night that suggested Bannersbroker would soon be able to make recommendations on
    this -

Yes I was wondering how to keep up with this.
I need to start now before it gets big.
The money out take out is easy.
    But what about buying panels.
Is tat deductible if you rebut a panel at the 100% level?
Also the same for traffice packs.
I would think it would be a business expended?

    Anyone?

I'm beginning to think if one of the hierarchy stated they had eaten the first born of every member of BB they would thank them too.

And none of these muppets have asked since?

From what I can see BBers asked plenty of questions but when they don't like the answer they ignore them. And they call themselves businessmen
