    Re: Empower Network

Hello, I have participated in the Empower Network. Here is what the Empower Network offers you. It offers you the opportunity to make blogging easy fast and fun. Allowing you to blog on a platform which is an authority blog. Making it easier for your topics of interest to be seen. In addition it offers you the opportunity to offer others the option of blogging and being seen on this platform as well. Mr. David Wood does do all the selling for you and it does have the potential to be very lucrative for some people who join this network. What they don't tell you is that your twenty five dollar payment gets you access to blogging but then you need to pay an additional $19.99 to set up the payment processor and the processor puts a hold on your payments for a short amount of time before you actually receive it into your hands. Other than this Although as Mr. David Woods states the earnings of the people mentioned like Lawrence Tam are extraordinary so in other words don't expect it to happen overnight. With this being said 25.00 plus the $19.99 for the processing of unlimited payments is not a bad deal but it would be nice if they told the people this upfront instead, so I would say that if you have an extra forty bucks then go for it. It will pay you if and when you earn the money. Also included in the purchase is all the leads you capture of people who want to run a home based business in which you you own.

There is your catch line!! It will pay you if and when you earn the money

You invest $40 and think you can sit back and make money, no way! You will work your but* off and maybe get your investment back but earning with these type programs, you have to be a top leader or professional crook.

    Re: Empower Network

Empower network is best described as Article Farm meets MLM.

The difference is most article farms operate for free, but you need to PAY to do Empowered.

And since Google have pretty much fried all the article farms with Panda and Penguin updates, Empowered never really had a chance.

Also note that they have a definition of "active affiliate", which means the percentages shown are NOT of all affiliates.

    Re: Empower Network

@buckyuk -- it's a scam only in the sense that it convinces you to pay for something that should be free: a blogging platform. They disguise it by adding all the MLM stuff around it like lessons, seminars, etc. And who's doing the seminars? Head of Empower, of course. Who wrote the lessons, Head of Empower, who else. It's a fancy version of "MLM Coach", albeit reworded to emphasize the income opportunity, not that you're paying for his "training".

In other words, it's MLM about MLM. :)

Here's an outline of six types of MLMers, should explain how this type of people think.

Six Types of Network Marketers: which type are you?

I always find it funny that people think working "smart" means sending money off to someone else.

In my book, that would be working "stupid"

OK. I'm confused by this statement as you have Empower Network as one of the recommended programs on your site (bottom of page):

    Re: Empower Network

Central question is this - Where does the revenue in empower network come from?
As far as i can see it comes from people lower down from you buying empower network products which seem to be lectures about empower network.
    http://www.empowernetwork.com/downlo...tion-model.pdf
Currently, all of our products operate on a ʻdynamic powerlineʼ system, where the 2nd, 4th, 6th and
every 5th sale of every affiliate pass to the qualifying sponsor, and you keep 100% of the purchase and
ongoing price on all other personal sales on products you qualify for.
Which to me says "we get the money first" You but a product you sell it to someone else you keep the third ones money and the fifth and we get four and six. They do the same for you. In short, if you get six people and each of them get six, and each of them six,
you will pass on the money from four of the the six to us
and of the 36 people your six get you will get the money from 24 which means your six will pass on 12 to us
And the 36 below them will have to get 1296 subscribers but before they do we will get 16 of every 26
Customers (non affiliates) also have the ability to refer other customers. Although they donʼt receive
commissions, they have the ability to get a free product, or a free subscription, by maintaining 2 active
    customer referrals of that product.
we allow this net to be incomplete but only by you buying up two spaces yourself instead of six spaces and us getting the revenue stream from them downstream and it not going to you.

In short, the way it looks to me, the money you get comes from people lower down the chain and not from outside the system.
Which by the way is the definition of a Ponzi scheme.

Ponzi or pyramid, it simply doesn't matter.

Let's just call it an "endless chain recruitment scheme" and be done with it.

Whatever it's called, smart people will stay away and the get-rich-quickers will flock to it.

Fair enough but by definition a Ponzi is a scheme whereby the payoff/income for early investors comes from the subscription of later investors.
Thus the "endless recruitment" stipulation. The central point is "where does the money come from"? THe poijnt is the money comes from inside the system from later investors. In Ireland for example this happened to banks e.g. Anglo Irish. They loaned developers money to build property. then when the developers couldnt pay back and share prices were dropping they used their own money to buy shares in the bank!
Chairman Sean FitzPatrick, and CEO David Drumm, and board member Lars Bradshaw had taken out loans in order to purchase Anglo Irish shares.

    The point is, Beacon,

many of these pseudo MLMs aren't "A" ponzi or "A" pyramid scheme.

It's one of the methods by which fraudsters throw many potential victims off track by pointing out their particular scam-du-jour isn't a "pure" ponzi or pyramid.

On a purely mathematical basis, ponzis don't work in the long term and neither do pyramid schemes.

Put the two together, con people into believing the particular fraud isn't a "pure" ponzi / pyramid and you have a recipe for disaster.

Ask around your friends and acquaintances, how many of them have ever heard of a "ponzi" OR a "pyramid" ??

Of those that do, how many of them truly understand how either works.

Better still, ask the victims of the last few "next big thing" HYIP ponzi and pyramid schemes if, even after their money disappeared, THEY understand how it was done.

The serial fraudsters also put a lot of effort into misleading their victims as to what defines either a Ponzi or a pyramid.

Which is why in the last few prosecutions, the terms "ponzi" and "pyramid" are used purely descriptively by prosecutors.

The charges have been of "fraud" "wirefraud" "money laundering" "conspiracy to commit fraud" and "conspiracy to commit money laundering"

Unlike get-rich-quickers and those behind pseudo MLMs such as Empower Network, whether an "opportunity" is either and ponzi or a pyramid or a combination of both matters little to prosecutors when fraud and money laundering have occurred.

Neither should it matter to victims or potential victims.

    Empower Network Income statement

    Here ya go.

    In Empowers' own words.

54% of average weekly earners earn $1399 PER YEAR

That's TOTAL INCOME. Total income BEFORE expenses

33% of average weekly earners earn $4480 PER YEAR.

That's TOTAL INCOME. Total income BEFORE expenses

That means, 87% of all Empower Networks' average weekly earners' average income is less than $4480 PER YEAR

No mention of outgoings or expenses, INCOME

    Re: Empower Network

For a company selling itself based on its' supposed "Search Engine Optimization" results, Empower Network sure as heck doesn't show up too well:

    Alexa Empower Network Statistics Summary

    Yesterday 5.1% -18%
5.1% of the entire Empower Networks' traffic came from a search engine

Can we assume the other 94.9% of the NETWORKS' traffic came from inside Empower itself and not from new visitors using search engines ??

More evidence Empower Network is little more than a barely disguised cash gifting based get-rich-quick scheme
