Thread: Employment scam emails from IP address 209.85.210.169?

I am a teacher and I would like to work in Saudi Arabia; I have applied for several jobs there. I have been warned about possible employment scams in other countries, so I have been looking up the IP addresses of the emails that I have received from there, and they all originate from 209.85.210.169. Different email addresses saying they are different schools and recruitment agencies are contacting me, but they all lead back to that IP address. Am I correct in assuming that this is a criminal sending me fake emails? How do I make sure I can get legitimate job offers?

That's an IP address of Google Inc.

From anyone who uses gmail, this IP might be coming up as source and gmail does not pass the submitter's IP on.

I stand to be corrected, but, I suspect there is something fishy going on here here, originating at I.P. 195.234.239.113 unnamed.lan060.dc-sofia.net in Bulgaria.

Would I be right, "me123" ??

Considering all of the other sites that identical spammed missives were posted on by "me123," I would agree with LRM that this is highly fishy.
