First of all Steve welcome to the thread and I do hope you stick around and prove us all wrong.

The purpose of this site is to teach people that want to think and learn how to avoid being scammed. Long after your BS revshare has collapsed the words will remain on the page and the lessons applicable to the next scam that purports to offer 200 pennies for every dollar plus referral commissions.

Maybe put your money where your mouth is and share with the class what sort of move in an underlying is required to turn a nickel into a buck with an option trade.

Since one could drain a seven figure trading account buying nickel options and never run out of sellers, how about posting some of your forward looking trades. Without revealing your secret sauces of course.

Steve: Welcome to RS. In regard to your comment that FINRA only keeps records for a short period of time, and you had said you left/retired from Bear Stearns in 2007, and that's why your record was not available. Rather odd considering that FINRA keeps records available online up to 10 years after termination of the license. By your own admission, your license termination was just 8 years ago. But don't take my word for it, here's what FINRA had to say about online retention of licenses, and I quote:

"FINRA's BrokerCheck system publicly displays historical information on individuals who are currently registered or whose last registration was terminated less than 10 years ago. BrokerCheck also permanently displays record information for certain individuals, including representatives who have been the subject of a final regulatory action. FINRA Rule 8312 specifies the information that is displayed in BrokerCheck."

So according to FINRA, your record should be there but no record exists. As I told you when you called me yesterday, if you could prove you had a securities license, I would publicly acknowledge it at MMG and here, and retract my statement you were not registered. Based on FINRA's statement to me, no such apology will be forthcoming. In short, you weren't a licensed and registered financial advisor, or the record would still be there for all to see.

I wanted to throw a quick bone out since today is the fed rate decision and I expect the market will move. Gurus of all stripes love to yammer about the Strangle Definition | Investopedia as another one of those have your cake and eat it too trades.

Taking my new pals $.05 price target I chose what has been one of the worst buy and hold products on the market since the great recession VXX. More on this later.

However in times of high Volatility Definition | Investopedia it moves, from 16 to 30 and back to 20 in the past month. Volatility being one of the chief components in the price of options.

Setting up a 10 contract strangle costs $100 with (10) $27.50 calls and (100) $19 puts and options that will cease trading at tomorrow's market close.

If VXX closes anywhere between $19 and $27.50 on Friday this trade loses $100 + commissons

For a 9X profit it will have to close below $18 or above $28.50.

Let's call the probability of that happening 5% to keep the math simple. Although the market is putting a much greater chance on below 19 than above $27.5

Yes a trader could trade out of this early, as in no need to wait for expiration.

Under management means you "CONTROL" all 60 accounts and they are all client accounts; not your five accounts and each of your friends having 5 accounts. This is Steve Lawson, Thank you rickshaw for explaining the purpose of of this forum, I thought I needed to come over here and defend myself everyday, I have yet to get a phone call from anyone of you... Hmmm?

Also, I wanted to say ribshaw... Have you ever heard of day trading? Have you ever heard of swing trading? ok, now have you ever heard of swing trading options? Your bone that you posted, that is ridiculous, that is not swing trading. Swing trading is trading into momentum, does not matter if that momentum is up or down, you can swing trade options in both directions of the market. For example, I picked up the KO 39 and the 40.50 Calls at the open on monday, I'm selling them all today, made several hundred percent in returns on this one trade alone. Swing trading is about a very short term trade, a few days tops! trading into momentum, as long as it is setup right, I don't care what company it is I'm trading, not blindly setting up strangles on the S&P, you could not pay me enough to take a trade like that, you need to buy/sell into a moving trend/momentum, the trade you are showing me here is absurd, and less then 24 hours? I'd rather put a toothpick under my big toe nail and kick a wall. Stop "guessing" what it is that I do and actually learn it.

I've been doing this for the better part of 10 years pal. Did I mention after I left my job in 2007, I absolutely refused to work another day in my life for anyone? In my opinion, ALL JOBS ARE SLAVE LABOR. Have I had meetings with hedge funds, yes a few. Have i had meetings with investment bankers, yep. Do I want to be tied to a clock for the rest of my life?
