    Academy of Multilevel Marketing

Seems Lenny and his cohorts have a new schtick.

They got together and formed this so called Academy of Multilevel Marketing thing. (Think Emmy's for the MLM world.)

Once a year they gather to self congratulate each other and nominate the biggest scammer of the past year and the sleaziest MLM product plus a whole bunch of other categories that run the whole gambit of the industry.

But enough said. Let the erudite Mr. Clements have the stage and fill you in on all the wonderful details!

    Re: Academy of Multilevel Marketing

I see they were careful not to nominate a MLM Company of the Year so as not to offend anyone.

But Sarah Robbins represents Rodan And Fields.

    Background on the company:

Prior to beginning Rodan + Fields Dermatologists, Drs. Rodan and Fields created Proactiv® Solution, the best selling acne treatment system in America.
    However...

... it turns out that Proactiv isn't anything special. The active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide. Consumer reports found that Proactiv didn't work better than other products that contain benzoyl peroxide... and the other products are much cheaper.

    - See more at: Is Rodan and Fields a Scam? - Lazy Man and Money
But, hey, we're talking MLM here, so would you expect any less?

When these "leaders" shoot videos I always worry mom is going to bust in with a samwich and cup of cocoa for her snukums. Instead of plaques TAMM could award "Do Not Disturb Signs" to let the parents know their little MLMer is doing serious grown-up stuff.

TAMM founder and Charmian Len Clements:

Yoli Takes Home Top Award from the TAMM Awards

    Written By : Brian McCoy

The Academy of Multilevel Marketing Awards recently released its winners for 2013. We are proud to announce that the Alkalete – PH Balance product was selected as Product of the Year. TAMM chooses this prestigious award out of just five superior products as nominated each year in January. (Yoli's) Alkalete won this year for its ability to have a positive affect on and support overall health.

The good news doesn’t stop there. Yoli’s very own Founder and CEO, Robby Fender, was 2nd Runner Up for CEO of the Year by the award show. Robby’s talent can be clearly seen by those who have experienced the Yoli brand or seen him speak in person. This year, Robby’s nomination came through for his ability to craft duplicatable systems, understand and fulfill the needs of his distributors, both of which lend to helping the common person see success.

Robby is very passionate about network marketing and has a love for people that is part of what helps make his contribution to the industry so great. Robby’s perpetual self-improvement and dedication allow him to be a leader in not just network marketing, but also the business world as a whole.
TAMM was founded by a group of highly experienced experts and leaders in the industry. TAMM’s focus is on giving recognition to network marketing leaders across multiple business categories who create high quality products and put forth formidable business practices. The annual TAMM Awards give recognition to top talent in 10 categories.
As always, it’s great to be a part of such a game changing organization. There are so many great companies out there, so for Yoli to take home this award and nomination speaks volumes about where Yoli is headed as a company and the superior quality of the products we have.
Another desperate attempt by Clem Lemons to bail out a Titanic in the sinking!

The Academy of Multilevel Marketing TAMM Awards for 2013

The Academy of Multilevel Marketing (TAMM) recently announced their awards for 2013 recognizing industry leaders in many categories of business. Their goal is to reward the 'best of the best' within the multi-level marketing (MLM) industry. Nominees were accepted in 9 categories including Company, Trainer, Start Up, Product, Distributor, CEO, Support Company, Advocate, and Humanitarian. There were also nominations of persons to be considered for the Hall of Fame. TAMM awards were selected by a group of 100 MLM industry leaders, experts, and experienced veterans.

TAMM is a fairly new organization, being created last year (2013) by Len Clements who is founder and chairman. Annually the Academy will accept nominations and determine the winners based on the companies/person's accomplishments and contributions. The annual nominations have no restrictions and the awards are based on pure quality of services, product, etc. The annual process will be overseen and monitored by the TAMM Board of Directors that includes Len and 9 other elite industry professionals. Dexter Yager was nominated in 2013. Good to see they will consider someone who makes a bunch (many would say most) of his loot not from "drawing circles" and "being his own best customer" but from the TOOLS SCAM.

Moving to the wolf eats lambs, sheep, and goats world of MLM seems like such an illogical choice. Unless spending more time with family as a result of not having any cash to go out is a big life goal...

According to the BLS, real estate agents earned a median salary of $39,800 in 2013. The best-paid earned about $98,090, while the lowest-paid earned approximately $21,240.

Real Estate Agent Job Overview | Best Jobs | US News Careers

In the largest of all MLMs, Amway, only 1/2 of one percent of all distributors make it to the basic level of "direct" distributor, and the average income of all Amway distributors is about $40 a month. That is gross income before taxes and expenses. When costs are factored, it is obvious that nearly all suffer a loss.

The 10 Big Lies of Multi-Level Marketing

For some reason these "success stories" are still working beyond the 2-5 year lifetime passive income window that MLM alleges when suckering new recruits. They must really love what they do.

This Press Release from The Academy of Multilevel Marketing (TAMM) regarding the NOMINATION PROCESS To Offer Merit Based Industry Awards was quite informative.

    Particularly this gem:

You'll see a lot of diamond shapes in our imagery and awards, which represented the true shape of an MLM organization.
(I think that should be "represents", Lenny - not "represented.)

Here's the section referred to so you don't have to look:

Actually, I think there is another problem here. I'll correct it for you, Lenny. I think this is what you meant regarding the true shape of a MLM structure.

I wonder why Robert Kiosaki was not rejected by the board if the awards were based on "merit".

He lied about having a Rich Dad
He never mentioned MLM in his second book RDPD, his first book "If You Want to be Rich and Happy Don't go to School" thanked his POOR DAD and never mentioned a RICH DAD.
After his second book he was recruited into MLM and failed.
He then proceeded to sell a lot of books, tapes, and seminars telling others how great MLM was.
Kiyosaki's advice is generic at best (when he is not lying about conversations with a dad that never existed), in other cases has been proven to be flat out wrong and/or illegal.

Carl Icahn may need to get a few people on TAAMs board, seems like they are cashing checks and rubber stamping nonsense.

Equal as funny is that MENSA is Latin and refers to a three legged table (because it doesn't wobble).

Three legged or three sided - like a pyramid.

    Get the humor?

Rather surprising that Clem Lemons didn't vote himself in...or was that a prior year election that I over-looked?

    2014 nominations - 12/17/2014

in the mean time, please begin your consideration as to whom you wish to nominate in the following categories (based on their performance in 2014):

    Company of the year...

    HALL OF FAME
Also, please keep in mind that, unlike last year, there are no longer any restrictions regarding the nomination of tamm board members (hint, hint ) you may now nominate who ever you believe is most deserving within the category with no restrictions of any kind.

Thank you for your service and consideration.
So, from the look of it, seems like Lenny is setting it up so he can snag himself a place in the MLM Hall of Shame - excuse me, Hall of Fame.

Something else he can add to his blusterous resume - excuse me, illustrious resume.
