One thing about My Advertising Pays that's not often discussed is, it gives ordinary folk the chance to display their real character,

So in one short day I go from being as disgusted as I have ever been to laughing as hard as I ever have.
Ah, the never-ending world of online SCAMS:
From: MyAdvertisingPays Sues TaraTalks - My Advertising Pays News
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f3...a.jpg~original
I have no idea if this was put together by a starving law student or not, but if they want to clean up a little of the legal gobbledy-gook, they could start with understanding that whether slanderous or libelous, the operative concept in both is that it has to be not true to be actionable. Good luck chumps!
May we have the contact details for this alleged "corporate counsel" so that we may help them with some of the basics?
Could MAP's alleged "corporate counsel" be scratching their head trying to figure out why it took MAPs two years to get around to dealing with all of this scurrilous libel?

I certainly hope they put that lie in the complaint after pulling out of their #2 market and the US is considered part of 'the world'.

re: Is My Advertising Pays / The Advert Platform A Scam or Ponzi?
I think this is all for show and they aren't going to sue anyone. On the blog it clearly states, and I quote:
"MAPS’s corporate counsel is in the process of initiating a federal law suit in the Northern District of Illinois alleging libel, interference with business relationship, and false light claims against TaraTalks."
On the blog they have a link for Attorney and Counsel, but when you click on the links, nothing there. Ashamed of your attorney and counsel Mike?
Remember, the members have been demanding the distractors of MAP be sued for a long time after Mike said they would sue. Another reason I say this is all BS is that in the content of the blog post they state they don't know the residency of TaraTalks. If they were really going to sue, they would know this information. More importantly why the Northern Illinois District Court? Doesn't Mike Deese live in Mississippi? Mississippi has a northern and southern district federal court.
But I do know if Mike and MAP do sue, Discovery is going to be a hoot. Just think, MAP will have to provide all of its financial records to TaraTalks. The big earners in MAP can be desposed to explain how they made their "millions." Now that is worth paying admission for, but alas the depositions would be private. I just think this is more smoke and mirrors to hopefully placate the members
-
re: Is My Advertising Pays / The Advert Platform A Scam or Ponzi?
The defendant(s) could publish the depositions. I have several really juicy ones up on RS. They are most entertaining.

Several of the happy Mappers are cock-a-hoop about the forthcoming legal case against Tara Talks:-
Attachment 13071 Attachment 13072
Funny, though that they are going after a lone blogger who is, well, somewhere in the world - they are not even sure where.
Why not go after two UK newspapers that published articles about MAPs, and specifically about our boy Simon? The Daily Mirror and Sunday Times are well known national UK newspapers, with offices, addresses and legal teams who would no doubt be delighted to discuss their articles on MAPs with Mike's "top attorney". Easier to find too than Tara.
Tara, you've obviously had an effect. They just want to scare you off IMO.

re: Is My Advertising Pays / The Advert Platform A Scam or Ponzi?
Wasn't MAP thrown out of the US? What makes them think they can file in US Federal Court? I agree with Eagle. This is probably all for show and they have no such thing as "corporate counsel."

Oh-bloody-dear,
not the old "in the process of initiating a Federal law suit" gambit again.
I wouldn't mind having a dollar for every time a HYIP ponzi or pyramid threatened to sue a critic.
As if Mike Deese or his "attorney" is ever going to stand up in a courtroom packed full of media representatives and explain to a judge why My Advertising Pays ISN'T a ponzi
Next they'll be gleefully announcing the judge was so impressed with the My Advertising Pays "business model" he wants to sign up and join Septic Simon Stepsys' downline.
Threatening letters from "attorneys" are a dime-a-dozen.
Actual court proceedings ???
Never happens.

re: Is My Advertising Pays / The Advert Platform A Scam or Ponzi?
For every MAPS yokel who is fired up over this lawsuit.Another 25 (in the developed countries) are filling there britches.
MAPS opens the books & its open season what everyone made. Then the various tax entities like the IRS take a long look at your taxes for the last decade or so.
It went down bigtime in Zeek. Both losers who claimed and winners got audited. Its big reason why so many losers didnt make a claim.
They knew the IRS would say "where did he get $10k to lose in Zeek? Hes never made(declared) more than $30k a year before taxes!
-
re: Is My Advertising Pays / The Advert Platform A Scam or Ponzi?
I wish they would actually file. They never will, but the comedy if they did!

OK Mappers Ize jes teasing about the winning thing.
There is this bitty hurdle...
Rather than barring suits by aliens, the court of appeals found “[t]o the contrary, Article III and § 1332(a)(2)’s alienage jurisdiction provisions were from the very beginning intended to provide a federal forum for civil disputes between foreign plaintiffs and American citizens.” https://www.hop-law.com/foreign-corp...a-court-rules/
And and a mere bump in the road...
If Nadirashvili was domiciled abroad when she brought this action, jurisdiction under § 1332(a)(1) does not exist.
https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCOUR...cv-03014-0.pdf
See, e.g. Newman-Green, Inc. v. Alfonzo-Larrain , 490 U.S. 826, 828 (1989) (“In order to be a citizen of a State within the meaning of the diversity statute, a natural person must be both a citizen of the United States and
be domiciled within the State.”
Büchel-Ruegsegger , 576 F.3d at 455 (“The Supreme Court has held that an American citizen who moves abroad is not a citizen of any state for purposes of §1332(a)(1).

Rich were going to be rich thank you Mike Deese!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irYGaMG1qao
And we'll need it because Mike can't sue Tara personally on behalf of MAP the corporation, other than these small hiccups this is one hella legal strategy.
