Thread: Is this a scam?

There's a new app that's been released called 123 friday. just wondering what you guys thought about this as I'm genuinely interested but I have a feeling this is a scam.

123friday™ uses a simple referral process that rewards their loyal customers with money when their friends and family sign up.
This Week's Earnings is always displayed showing what you will be paid 10 business days in arrears of each Friday.

If that is how things work when it eventually launches, it's a referral based scheme which is both illegal and guaranteed to fail.

I thought it sounded too good to be true, they seem to have built up a lot of hype on social media websites in which they have managed to create quite a following which gave the illusion of it being legit, just thought id check up on this before I fell for a scam.
