Giannos was the UFun representative who boasted on his nicolas.gianno Facebook page how he had introduced UFun / UToken to the Samoan Central Bank, prompting speculation Samoa was to become involved in laundering the proceeds of the UFun fraud.




Today comes news on SamoaObserverer.ws that things haven't gone quite as smoothly as Mr Giannos would like UFunners to believe:

Is it wrong of me to be really enjoying reading about this?

I hope now, that since the above named couple were transferring money to a UK bank, that the UK authorities will get involved too. The banks certainly should. And with luck, that will wake up other relevant authorities.

Am I right that the un-named couple who were arrested at the airport were Mr Giannos and his partner?

Glad to see that some countries in the world take this sort of thing seriously. I hope that it will become a transnational matter, and that a lot more of the promoters will get caught up in it.

The only way you can be "wrong" is if you try to guestimate when the shutdown will happen.

Seasoned observers will recognize we are (entirely predictably) full on into the "Last week I was a promoter, this week I'm a victim" phase of the UFun saga.

My favourite parts are the excuses....for example:-

"Not trying to escape, Your Honour, just on my way to a casino in a another country". Nearly as good as "If it's illegal, come and arrest me!" (then expressing shock when that is exactly what happened).
