Gurus that promote get rich quick schemes like Shaun Smith have limited techniques, show bling and distraction. Payment proofs, pictures of shiny ****, and witty expressions that prey on emotion. "Don't work for money, have money work for you!"

A legitimate business opportunity stands on its own without fluff or sleight of hand. Revenue comes from goods or services provided to people that AREN'T involved in the opportunity. Rental real estate should provide the cash flow to cover expenses and afford some price appreciation. A broad index of 1000s of stocks over long periods of time has provided both appreciation and dividend income. Commodities are both consumed and used in industrial application, the laws of supply and demand apply allowing the skilled to buy low and sell high. One's own business, or dare I say even a J.O.B. will provide years of income when coupled with compound interest have the potential to produce a substantial nest egg. No guarantees of course, but all are viable options that I would not dream of calling a scam.

With the likes of Shaun Smith, his "business" is a cut of your cash, you are his customer, and castles in the air what he is selling.

Shaun Smith claims to have been online for years teaching people how to make money, where are the success stories? All failed businesses listed in this thread came directly from his website. Did he delete the ones that are paying massive passive income to everyone that joined underneath him? So much success he has to hide it with obscure references of wealth? Failure after failure, while Shaun never misses a beat in taking his rake like the poker dealer. His business is recruiting, while he claims not to work 9-5, he sure does spend a lot of time doing something more than cashing checks.

One group that doesn't routinely hold a job is the class known as career criminal. When someone pans hard work, having a job, or living below your means consider why they are sharing this wisdom. Remembering the terms "passive and residual" income, where is their passive income coming from? If your checkbook is involved, maybe looking elsewhere is a wise investment.

Attack the naysayer.

A guy like me must be broke, must work long hours, must be jealous, must hate puppies, must must must. All of that is fine, it still does not make a business with little external revenue and endless recruiting stand on its own.

Shaun Smith is making so much passive cash with all his other great deals, he has time and interest making $100 wagers in the Binary Option Market. With all I have heard from this man's mouth, this if true would be costing him money playing for such low stakes.

Can offshore "brokers" trade with US residents?

Trading, especially short term trading is at best a Zero Sum Game, usually because of spreads and commissions it's less than Zero Sum. If you think someone is going to sell you an automated trading bot that works, may as well stop thinking and send Shaun Smith all your money. Not just the money you plan to trade with, send it all to him. After all he has got so many other things right through the years.

If 100 people buy a trading system I would expect a few to do very well, just like I expect to see a few winners in every casino. Doesn't mean any of them are using a system any more viable than flipping a coin. People like Shaun Smith market this garbage for the commish instead of putting their feet up and auto trading this puppy. Troll the net making positive comments and setting up "is it a scam" websites instead of going to the beach, seems unlikely.

If you recruit a bunch of people you can make money in Pyramid/Ponzi schemes, may not be ethical or legal, but a very few make money. Most will lose, since eventually recruiting will dry up and there are not enough external advertisers that want to pay to have the GRQ crowd look at their ads. Advertisers that might pay are most likely peddling other scams. More likely scenario is advertisers are involved in the scheme and using the platform build a sucker list.

Is this endless recruiting model a legal way to to business, once again it appears Shaun hasn't done his homework...
