LRM, you must be thanked profusely, (or perhaps beaten severely with a soggy noodle) for your tireless efforts to keep up with the rapidly changing events in the Dinar revaluation arena...! It must take you several seconds each week to keep up with it all...!
It seems like in this "industry" common sense is not all that common!

Just thought I'd update you guys on my blog. I identified Adam Montana as James Wolf, age 35 from Greenville, Wisconsin. He's a fraud.

Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.

Howdy Sam I am, I don't think I've taken occasion to welcome you here and I'm sorry for the oversight. I've been destracted of late but not totally out of the game. I want to complement you on your recent follow up interview with John Jagerson, it's a good example of what the new citizen journalism model can do. For those who don't know John Jagerson, he has legitimate, verifiable and quite frankly impressive credentials in capital markets and investing and he has offered a qualified opinion of the investment potential of the Iraqi Dinar which of course means that the dinar gurus (even without any legitimate, verifiable or in any way impressive credentials) and some of their bewitched followers concoct arguments like "If John is as smart as he claims then he knows the RV is coming so by calling the dinar fad a scam he's really just trying to get us to sell him our dinar." No, I can't find the link but yes, I did see someone say that.

I remember last fall when I had the time to look into this iraqidinarmoney.com was having something of a running battle with "Adam Montana" and I'm not sure if he pulled some posts perhaps under a threat of some sort. I can't know for sure. But I remember a good amount of what was posted and the thing I remember most was that I had thought I had tracked down an e-mail address for "Adam" which proved to be rather probative and not only was (iraqidinarmoney.com, henceforth IMDC) able to confirm the connection between that address and "Adam" but he did it from a completely different direction than mine. That was about the time IMDC started adding updates about e-mails from "Adam's" attorneys. To me the really interesting thing was that particular e-mail address was connected to a good number of websites and I don't know exactly how long it takes between the time you call up your hosting company to change your registration information and when the new information would show up on sites like DNS Reports, but if it's a few weeks to about a month, well let's just say that his lawyer wasn't the only person "Adam" called after reading IMDC.

I salute you on your work, you followed through where I didn't. There are after all 28 James Wolfs in Wisconsin. One area that I know you have seen but I think you under estimated was "Adam's" porn involvement. I don't mention this paint him with any sort of stereotype or imply he's immoral for selling porn. I don't understand why anyone with an internet connection needs to pay for porn but there are many legal dollars to be made selling it and James Wolf spent years trying to sell just as much of it as he possibly could. Selling porn is a competitive buisness and you can't last as long as James did if you don't learn how to relentlessly and ruthlessly cater to your audience's fetishes. Could there be a more perfect educational environment for an eventual dinar guru?

The email addy I mentioned above (wolfyman at gmail), which is no longer connected to nearly as many websites as it was last fall also connected me to what just quite possibly have been James Wolf's first post about the Dinar. ( Mild word of warning, this link is perhaps "not work safe" link). Yes, I am very confident that "Wolfy" on the GFY forum is "Adam Montana" on the Dinar Vets forum. And if "Adam" wants to send us any "lawyer letters" I'll tell him right now, if any of this information or any opinions I have draw from it are incorrect James is free to post any corrections or clarifications they (he) finds suitable. But if the goal here is to avoid connecting the names "Adam Montana" and "James Wolf" then engaging us in any formal legal process may well be ill advised. Ask your attorney what a "discovery process" is.

hmmm .... I posted a response late night but it's gone.

Thanks for the welcome GlimDropper. Actually I read that there are 47 James Wolfs in Wisconsin, not that it matters. Once I read that he was a corporate recruiter and only found one by that name I had it narrowed down to 2 or 3. Finding the videos sealed it for me when the voices matched.

Yes, I knew about the porn, but apparently not to the extent that you do. I'm not out to humiliate the guy (maybe I should) but to expose him as a fraud to prevent more people from buying into his programs thinking he's some sore of investment genius.

I'm now trying to gather info on Frank Villa aka Frank26. I have heard that he raised a lot of money to build a church that was never built but I don't have any proof of that yet. If you have anything on him I'd love to see it. Thanks for the link.

    Nothing sinister, Sam.

It's all down to a failed attempt to update the forum software.

The failure of the upgrade forced us to revert to the saved backup.

Your post was made in the period between making the backup and rollback.

    Please accept our apologies.

Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.

It is amazing to me that these so-called Dinar Guru's keep posting all their drivel as if it was the gospel of end all knowledge about the redenomination, they call revaluation of the Dinar. It is also interesting to me that every time I am on a talk radio show and take questions, or doing a community seminar and do a Q&A, the Dinar always comes up of people wanting my take on it.

We warned people about the Iraqi Dinar back in 2008 that there was no way the Dinar would redenominate any time soon, and it would be at least 4-5 years at best. This was in 2008. Just last November we were asked to post a comment on our website about the Dinar as it seemed its redenomination (revaluation as they say) was going to happen at any time. So I put up a piece about the Iraqi Dinar on our website.

It never fails that anytime I discuss the Dinar, whether on the radio or at one of our community seminars, someone always tells me that I don't know what I am talking about, and that the Dinar will redenominate at any moment. To which I remind them that the so-called guru's have been saying this since 2008, and they have been wrong every time they make a prediction, and here it is 4 years later, and they are still wrong; and so far we have been right.

I know that people want to believe this will happen and they will become millionaires overnight. Even when it does redenominate, no-one is going to be millionaires from buying Dinars, except the people selling them to gullible people who have bought their hype.

I also explain that this is not a scam but a sham since: the Dinar really does exist, one day it will redenominate, but not at the levels the so-called guru's are predicting it will. A lot of people are going to be in for a very rude surprise and a sad disappointment when this finally happens.

I have no crystal ball to tell me when this redomination will take place, but I do know far more has to be done in Iraq before it will ever take place. I just don't get how people keep falling for and believing in all their predictions after 4 years of being so wrong.

Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.

Unsurprisingly, no news from the DINAR DODOS this week.

I often wonder, what do gurus do when they're not guruing ??

    Now I know:

Ah, well, after all these years lying about the Iraqi dinar revaluing, why would anyone be surprised they claim to be able to cure tinnitus and improve Myopia (near-sightedness), Hyperopia (far-sightedness), Presbyopia (Old-Age Sight), macular degeneration, eyestrain and Glaucoma ??

Calling this bunch low life pond scum is being w-a-y too kind.

Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.

We here at RealScam.com are always trying to develop objective and quantifiable metrics to measure the otherwise subjective. You see, after a while there really isn't anything too novel or interesting in seeing the Dinar Gurus proven wrong, yet again, week after week. So what I'm purposing (if we can attract enough data points) is just a simple standard deviation chart on a self reported ratio. Applying simple percentages to what extent the following quote makes you A: Laugh vs. how much it makes you B: Scream. Physical sciences have a long tradition of naming units of measurements after individuals who were significant to their formulation. Units of electrical resistance are measured in Ohms after Georg Simon Ohm for example and our laugh to scream ratio will also be called Ooms in honor of Okie Oil Man.

    Now for the quote:

"OKIEOILMAN: HAVE BEEN ON THE PHONE ALL NIGHT ALONG WITH BULLDOG AND OUR SOURCES AND OUR PATIENCE AND STRENGTH IS EXAUSTED AND WE ARE BOTH A LITTLE SHORT TODAY BUT WE GET VERY TIRED OF THE SAME OLE B.S. QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER--WE ARE ABOUT READY TO STOP POSTING ALL TOGETHER AND THEN WHERE WILL YOU GET YOUR INTEL?--"
Personally, I'm about 70/30 for a final value of 2.33 Ooms.

Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.

I have always wondered how many times does a "guru" have to be wrong, before he/she is no longer a "guru?" Apparently with the Dinar crowd it is far more than 2000 (at least), and still counting, and yet they are still regarded as a "guru." Incredible.

One thing is for sure, when the Dinar does redenominate, either no-one will believe it at first, or they will drop over dead it finally did after years, and years, and years.

As for the ooms count, what is the high and the low range for voting? With high meaning you are either screaming at the top of your lungs, or rolling around on the floor laughing so hard. Maybe we should have one category for screaming and another for laughing.

Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.

Well, we're still in the early phases of crafting the Oom metric and already I see the limitations of a simple ratio. I've always admired Bill James and the Sabermetrics statistical analysis of Baseball. Not only the basic stuff but more the attempts to establish things like "Wins above Replacement" numbers. I mean if two pitchers both win twenty games in a season who was better? Does winning twenty games on a team who won only 80 games that year mean he was more valuable than the guy won won twenty games on a team that won 105? That sort of thing.

This is a fools errand, I realize. But it amuses me to think we could mathematically establish who the biggest lair in the denarosphere is. And by what percent.

(Oh, and any dinaratarian will tell you there's a big difference between a RD, redenomination and the great RV, Revaluation. The first is regraded with superstitious terror at worst or just another sign that the RV wont happen this week, at best. But the RV is when they all get paid.)

Re: Dinar Gurus or Dinar Dodos.

I can see the OOMS being run along the lines of the Academy Awards, with multiple sub categories all contributing to an aggragated overall award.

We could have "longest history of lying" "most convincing liar" "greatest number of lies within a set time" and "funniest lies" awards, all leading to a particular years OOM award.

We could even have purpose designed Oscar-like trophies.

One major problem strikes me, though.

With the propensity Dinar Dodos have for saying nothing in as many words as possible, a simple award ceremony with acceptance speeches could take days to complete.

I have always found it fascinating that they can say the same thing week after week, and still make it sound "new" to the fools who believe them. Actually it is just the same lies said in a new way week after week. I especially loved the one who claimed "Do not call the banks. This is what is causing the delays." Hmmm, it's their members fault. Now where have I heard this one before?

And because we all know that Maliki and Shabibi will most emphatically NOT allow the RV to happen until the ceremony is over the IMF and WTO have been exerting all their influence to make sure that Tony Breitling reads the entire text of his ISX Report E-Book as part of his acceptance speech. This will ensure that everyone in the audience will be sleeping as the New World Order crowd cashes in their dinar first.

    @ Sam

Do you have the quote where he claims to be a Harvard Grad? Not the actual link is needed, just a verbatim quote?

In HYIP research I have seen several people making this claim, but they do it in such a way to prove it's false just by the wording they use. I won't give it away, but it's a common con man mistake and when I do explain it, it's both pretty clear and obvious.

Oh well, he didn't do it.
It's common for people to say "I graduated Harvard Business School" and often mention some degree, HBS is the GRADUATE business school, the only degree they offer is MBA and the PhD Programs. If a Harvard undergrad mentions a particular college, it wouldn't be HBS. I was graduated Harvard College, which is one of the colleges in the larger Harvard University. Anyhow, it's not a mistake one would make.
