A man remains behind bars on a peeping complaint after authorities discovered him inside a septic tank beneath a women's bathroom at an Oklahoma water park.

Kenneth Enslow, 52, was arrested on Sunday after a woman called police.

She had taken her seven-year-old daughter to the bathroom and noticed a man looking up at her from inside the toilet, Tulsa County Sheriff's Major Shannon Clark said.

"He went in there, climbed down in the septic and was looking up at the people utilising that facility," Mr Clark said.

Mr Enslow, who was covered in human waste, was helped from the septic tank by members of the Keystone Fire Department, who sprayed him off with a fire hose and then took him to hospital for evaluation, according to a sheriff's report.

Enslow told police that a woman hit him in the head with a tyre iron and dumped him in the toilet, according to the report.

But Mr Clark said: "There were no injuries consistent with that."

Mr Enslow remained jailed on a felony warrant from Okmulgee County related to a 1998 embezzlement case, court records show.

A formal arraignment in the peeping case is scheduled for July 15.

BOULDER, Colo. — Though he initially was allowed to enter a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity in February, the man who admitted to spying on women in a portable toilet pleaded guilty to charges Tuesday.

In the new plea agreement, Boulder’s Luke Chrisco pleaded guilty to two felony burglary counts and one misdemeanor attempted unlawful sexual contact, said Catherine Olguin of the Boulder District Attorney’s Office. The plea deal allowed Chrisco to avoid other charges.

Chrisco, who had four attorneys representing him, originally entered a not guilty plea on eight counts of felony burglary and two misdemeanors. He was later allowed to change that plea to not guilty by reason of insanity.

In a jailhouse interview with FOX31 Denver, the 31-year-old admitted he hid inside a portable toilet to spy on women through peepholes he created.

Chrisco was arrested in August 2011 after a woman at Boulder’s Hanuman Festival reported seeing something moving in the portable toilet she was using. She then reported seeing a feces-stained man emerge from the tank and run away.

Several days later, police in Vail arrested Chrisco during an unrelated traffic stop, according to court records.

During the course of the investigation, court documents revealed Chrisco confessed to spying on women in other public restrooms around Boulder including the Department of Motor Vehicles office, International Youth Hostel, University of Colorado, Naropa University and other businesses.

Authorities say the incidents happened between May 1 and June 23, 2011.
