    People never learning is what makes the Ponzi/Pyramid scheme and its mutations such a powerful yet simple scam. Charles Ponzi did it claiming he could arbitrage postal reply coupons and it sounded reasonable, once he returned a few people their initial investment they were addicted and told their friends. Then he paid people to recruit, and why not they knew it was real since they got paid. Much like Simon Stepsys he too had previous brushes with the law "failures". Even after his scam imploded, "true believers" thought the collapse some sort of government conspiracy. (Seeing victims say iterations of this in real time is still the hardest thing for me to believe)

    http://www.biography.com/people/char...09#early-scams

    We could probably have 10 threads here that explained scams with no further posting, if people would stop and THINK.

    (MAPPERS I MEAN YOU)

    1. Come up with a plausible yet hard to verify story about making money (FX Trading, Hard Money Loans, Click 10 ads).
    2. Pay out early investors on time to create buzz
    3. Screw the pay out, just show them big returns on a computer screen to create buzz.
    4. Skim Skim Skim
    5. Day of Reckoning.
    6. Rinse and Repeat, people never learn.

    That of course would be no fun at all, so we trudge on.

    Simon S is dishing out the advice to the eager members of MAPs

    Maps 273Mar 15.jpg Maps 274 Mar 15.jpg

    I can boil that down to fewer points which might be easier for the numpties to understand:-

    1. Make a blo*dy nuisance of yourself on the internet;
    2. Harrass family and friends - and strangers - on Facebook and Skype;
    3. Spam everybody you can think of;
    4. Have some pi*s poor cards and flyers you can scatter round the neighbourhood;

    And here's some extra free advice:-

    5. Have your excuses ready for when this thing collapses taking everyone's money with it;
    6. Have a safe place to run to, at least for a while, when (5) above happens because not everyone will take it well;
    7. Be ready to display sheer brass neck when telling people "I'm as shocked as you are/I've lost money too/ I thought it was a real business because didn't we all get paid at first?/ I'm a victim too!"

    Well, the video shows the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil, putting MAPS in a class with the $1.8 billion TelexFree scheme, the $100+ WCM777 scheme and the exceptionally murky Profitable Sunrise scheme that appears to have gathered tens of millions of dollars.

    There's some "I got paid" check-waving, of course. It's as though warnings by the SEC and FINRA about scams spreading on social media never happened. And it's as though the Fortune Hi Tech Marketing and MPB Today cases involving check-waving have been ignored.

    Yeah the thing I find about MAPS is that it all seems so cheesy!, its sort of cringe worthy. But another comment I see a lot posted, and said a lot by simon stepsys himself is 'Results Not Typical' a hell of a lot. Which to me means 'I will make all this and you will make a few $$'s.

    Sorry, I know I am slow, but I just saw this and didn't really understand it (not being s Rockstar or Diamond, it is a bit hard for me)

    Maps 275 Mar 15.jpg

    So, let me get this right. The wheel won't spin unless there are some ads on it, is that right? And it is the members themselves who put the ads on. And they have to pay extra for their ad to be on the wheel. Do they have to do this using fresh money or using whatever is in their pretendy wallet? Not that it matters, because all it is, is another way to view the ads in a closed loop. If they have to use existing "funds" well that depletes the amount they could theoretically withdraw. If they have to bring in fresh money, that's a bonus for MAPs.

    Is there any evidence that outside advertisers are buying ads to go on the wheel? Given that the wheel just isn't moving right now, I'll take that as a no.

    They are all getting hyped up and over excited about this darn wheel, and don't seem to realise that it is just another way for MAPs to (a) make more money and/or(b) keep money in the system.

    And all for one cent a time.

    I know that some people are going to be hurt by this thing when if disappears with a bang and a flash, but even so, they MUST start applying some common sense to the situation and ask themselves if all this really is likely to make their fortune!

    Not only is it a giant party popper rather than champagne......it fails to go POP, and he has to shake out the confetti.

    You think it's one thing, then it turns out to be another and fails to go bang anyway............. well, kinda like MAPs really..........

    Deathstar is more like it. You really have to appreciate a participant in the MAPs scam uncovering the hoax about advertisers and being totally oblivious.

What the people miss is that the PRODUCT isn't the phone in ACN, gold in Karatbars, or selling banners, it's NETWORK MARKETING - a proven lousy product i.e., "method or business sales system" that is BEING SOLD TO YOU. The other stuff is the pseudo product to cover the PONZI, or its a way for founders to convince people to buy their product by promising wealth. See how either way, the product has little significance as it pertains to the mark.

    When people believe in the next big thing, they think they are moving to a different product. In fact, they are still selling/promoting the same $hit called network marketing.

    re: Is My Advertising Pays / The Advert Platform A Scam or Ponzi?

    I don't know if it is my imaginsation, but it seems to me that there is a lot less fresh activity on Simon S's MAPs FB site recently.

    Don't get me wrong, there IS activity, but not nearly so much, and a lot of the former big noises are noticably absent. Where is Dickie Walletblaster these days, or Dave Finney who gave up his day job to do MAPs full time? The Essex Maiden, Claire Hartman James appears in photos of events, but hasn't commented or posted for a few weeks now. She's off on a frolic of her own these days. Even our Top Tips man (what was his name? Dave something?) has gone very quiet and isn't posting any top tips. And where are those mad montages of cartoons and things from that woman who claimed she was "mad" on MAPs? Even Stepsys seems to have run out of steam and (perhaps luckily) has not posted any of his "inspiring" sayings and piccies for a while.

    It has been going now for 15 months. Yes, they are still recruiting and welcoming people to the group, but it seems a lot, lot slower. Slower than even 2 months ago. Are we to assume that the former MAPs cheerleaders are starting to cheer something else?

    Here are the current Alexa rankings for MAPs, and although there was a little surge, it's now on the way down again. It has never come close, though, to the dizzy heights of (say) 6 months ago.

    Hello Ladies and Gentlemen . I have been with MyAdvertisingPays for over a year now . As a Newbie , l can tell you honestly , that MAPS has changed my life ! . It's a real opportunity that actually does what it says . I am also getting sales from my affiliate products I promote on MyAdvertisingPays platform , which shows their traffic is phenomenon and second to non . I have made over 200,000usd within my first 13 months ! I never made sales on Google or any other site while promoting . This is the honest truth . Even a friend of my that became member about few months ago is already achieving great success with this company call MAPS . It's better to give honest opinion as per my experience than lied or speak negative upon them . Thank you .

    Welcome to RS. I do have a question for you: What affiliate products have you been so successful in getting sales from MAPS that you did not get from Google?

    @Pathfinder

    How do you feel about Simon Stepsy's involvement in the previous scam of Banners Broker where people lost tons of money? Does this give you any pause for concern?

    Mind me asking? What have you purchased with your 200,000 dollars? Car? House?

    I see, welcome.

    A lot of victims of Ponzi schemes think the scam they are participating in has changed their lives. One of the perks of getting in early on a scam like this. I would suggest before you comment further you start on page one of this thread and read each and every post. Then you will see the people that you are in bed with like Simon Stepsys and Richard Arblaster have no record of promoting anything but scams.

    This will collapse, the only question is are you going to be party to bringing innocent people down with it?

    This shows nothing of the sort, please read the thread and then provide us with some real documents.

    You had better withdrawal that money and put it in a bank without touching a dime. Not only will people you are recruiting lose money, it is entirely possible when this implodes, and it will, the authorities will sue you to reclaim your ill gotten gains.

    Do you mean HONESTLY in 2010 you were a NEWBIE? Or where you referring to 2009 when you kicked off a scam with http://www.realscam.com/f16/simon-stepsys-3342/ that the back of your ears was a little wet?

    See how this works, your whole $200,000 story is now as suspicious as MAPS. Best guess, you are a shill for Simon who barks for a few quid.

    If I was running a ponzi advertising site like maps, do you know what I would do?

    Well, every now and then, I'd employ a group of outsourced monkeys to click on some of the bullshit offers on the traffic exchange and then guess what? - buy some.

    That way, the mugs buying the credit packs and putting ponzi-esque ads in the traffic exchange will think 'wow! I've never made a dime tryna sell this **** before and now I'm 'crushing it''

    This would then be taken as unquestionable proof of how great the traffic is, leading to suckers piling more money in.

    Think about it. All it takes is some big mouthed **** like that Lady V saying how great the traffic is and how many sales she's had on her clickbank *****.

    How much would it actually cost Deese (or whoever is in charge coz it certainly ain't him coz he's a thick f*ck) to orchestrate this amazing spate of affiliate sales.

    Peanuts - that's how much. Especially given the sums that are flooding into maps. Most of these shitey products are like $27 ebooks.

    Even if Deese orchestrated 1000 'sales' that would only cost $2700 and the frenzy it would create would be astounding - don't forget we're dealing with flid-ends who get excited when they win 1c for fux sake!

    Unfortunately 'Pathfinder4wealth' you're just brainwashed like all the others.

    Do you really think you can come on here, write one post and all of the sudden we go 'oh right, it must be true, coz Pathfinder sez so.'

    My advice to you is to have a word with yourself.

    I don't think you've read even 10% of this thread let alone looked at all the others.

    The evidence that you are involved in an illegal ponzi scheme is overwhelming.

    However, owing probably to a combination of greed and repeated failures in the past, topped with what appears to be some moderate success with your latest ventures, you have become conditioned into thinking maps is the best thing since sliced bread. You are unable to even process the notion that any 'success' on your part is just an illusion. Thus, you experience Cognitive Dissonance when you see some of the stuff posted here, which effectively forces you to attempt to justify your actions, and even try to convince us of the legitimacy of your pointless shenanigans.

    The sooner you accept that you've been f*cked over like the rest of them, the sooner you can pick yourself up, dust yourself down, learn from your experience and hopefully only get involved in legitimate opportunities going forward.
